My name is Josh - I'm the editor of the site. I hope you find the hearing aids information that you're seeking. I realize that Hearing Aids 1000 isn't the complete and perfet source for hearing aids information (is there any such thing?), but I am working on it every day to make improvements.
I didn't start Hearing Aids 1000 to rival the manufacturers websites, both in technical details or glossy production. For me, this site is more of a labor of love (and, yes, I have another totally unrelated full-time job).
While I personally don't use hearing aids -- I'm only 36-years-old -- last year my dad's hearing quickly deteriorated due to a lifetime of working with loud machinery in tight spaces. He was, of course, reluctant to get a hearing aid and when he did finally give in, he found them too complex and unbearable to wear.
That's when I set out to learn all that I could about hearing aids. To my surprise, I couldn't find a website with all the information I was searching for.
So, when you want something done right... and Hearing Aids 1000 was started.
