My wife gave birth to a beautiful baby boy two days ago. One of my first thoughts was around his hearing and if he will ever need to use hearing aids. There is very little info out there on new born children and hearing aids.
Anyone reading this will remember the hearing test that they give your baby the day after he is born. They say 100% to pass or there are issues. Our child passed but it was very stressful. Would not passing mean that our newborn would need hearing aids? Do they exist?
Who has any info on newborn babies and hearing aids? I would love to hear anything that you have. I imagine the same issues of no health insurance plagues hearing aid help for newborns as well. Very frustrating!
