Hearing Aids 1000

hearing aids in small cities

by Jason on July 30, 2010

I will be spending the next week in a the great city of Ellensburg Washington. It is making me wonder about the usage and adoption of hearing aids in smaller cities and towns throughout the US versus usage in the big cities. My gut instinct tells me that small town people probably use hearing aids less than those people of larger cities but I have no data to support this.

In general I am assuming that health care in bigger cities is better than that in smaller towns but as I write this I start to question this. There is no evidence that supports it.

Does anyone reading this have any insight into the usage of hearing aids in small cities across this great nation. Or, a bit more tangentle, does anyone know stats around health insurance registration in small cities and town versus the larget metropolisis?

I know that every where in the US there are people that need to use hearing aids but do not because they can’t afford them. I am simply wondering if this is a bigger or smaller problem in smaller places.
