It is a fact that most of the hearing aid designs out there are focused on hiding or diminishing the look of hearing aids. This is sort of frustrating to me. I always compare hearing aids to eyeglasses. They are both tools to augment our senses. While hearing aids are treated as things to be hidden eye glasses are allowed to be fashion accessories.
What could be some good ways to get hearing aids to be more fashionable or is this just too much to ask? Could they be viewed as some form of earring extension? Maybe the key is color coordinating them with the outfit that the person is wearing. Can the colors easily be changed on a daily basis?
As I write this, I begin to think that this is simply a bridge too far. I hope I am wrong and that it is possible for hearing aids to appear as fashionable as glasses but I am not super confident. Please let me know if you have any thoughts.
