Many people think that they can do just fine without hearing aids when in reality they are lowering the level of their lives and the level of those around them. Many others would love to get a hearing aid but simply can not afford them.

Another problem that exists, while it is slightly less serious but still an issue is people using old hearing aids that are far below the new levels of technology. A great solution to this would be a take on cash for clunkers for heairng aids.

America Hears actually offered a program like this in 2008. It offered up to $200 on trade in of old hearing aids for current hearing aid users. I have heard this was a massive success and I will look for more trade in programs that are still happening. If anyone knows of some solid trade in programs, can you please let us know?
