There seems to be a couple of websites that are specific to Texas and hearing aids but the content does not seem to be anything unique. This is a bit frustrating. After searching a while on the Internet, my gut tells me that Texans treat hearing aids the same way that the rest of the US does. There are millions of Texans that could use hearing aids but currently are not due to the cost of them and the lack of insurance coverage.

I did discover that BCBS in Texas covers hearing aids for $1,000 every three years. This is not exactly going to cover the full expenses but it is better than a stick in the eye. I salute BCBS for giving coverage for hearing aids and I challenge other insurance companies in Texas and beyond to start covering all aspects of hearing aids. In Texas and all other states, hearing aids should be fully covered by insurance. We at HA1000 will not stop until the are!

One can only imagine how much damage the loud rock concerts do to people’s hearing and push the need for hearing aid use at a young age. Pete Townsend of the who used to love playing his guitar at super high volume but today he suffers form tennitis and surely needs to use a heairng aid.
