As the summer blockbusters have come out I was thinking about using hearing aids in the movie theaters. Has anyone ran into any problems with hearing movies while using hearing aids? In theory, hearing aids should work perfectly while viewing movies, but as we know, things do not always stick to theory.
I am wondering if perhaps the powerful sound systems at movie theaters these days are maybe too loud for the filters of some hearing aids. But this also begs the analysis that not all aids are created equal.
If anyone has any experience with problems centered around hearing aids in movie theaters could you please post them? Also, and perhaps of more importance, if anyone has solutions for how to deal with the challenges, please post them to our hearing aid blog as well. Have a great day!

Who has seen a person wearing a heairng aid in the movies? I do not remember seeing a single hearing aid in a movie and this goes not only for the standard block buster but also for movies that have casts of primarily older people. This is frustrating to me.

Anyone who is reading this post knows that there is a big percentage of people in the world who need hearing aids. Not just that they need hearing aids but that they wear hearing aids. The challenge is that hollywood is not represnting the use of hearing aids in the movies.

I understand that movies are fictional and there are many things about them that do not reflect reality. I just wish that they could use their position to show hearing aids in a realistic and positive light.

Has anyone seen hearing aids shown and represented well in a movie or a play? Please tell me if so!
